Introducing Attorney Laura A. Klein, Esq
Laura A. Klein is a partner at Klein & Babbitt, LLC. Her practice areas are family law litigation and residential real estate closings. Laura enjoys bringing practical solutions to difficult problems. She seeks to find an appropriate negotiated settlement for each client, but when that is not possible she engages in hard hitting litigation to fight for the best possible outcome for every case she handles. Laura proactively embraces the concept of an honest, personalized and direct way to practice family law and has worked diligently in bringing integrity to our practice of family law. Laura believes in giving straight forward advice and working with her clients to bring about the best possible solutions to the client’s problems. She prides herself on “taking the confusing” out of the divorce process so that you can focus on what is really important to you. She sees herself as a guide for people who are going through a life changing experience.
Attorney Klein has an active real estate practice. She enjoys working with first time home buyers and other residential homebuyers and sellers and guiding them through their transactions. The Team at Klein & Babbitt has set up a direct and clear process to organize each moving part in a closing to support each client, the realtors and mortgage professionals so that the transaction is smooth and wrinkle free as possible.
Attorney Klein has given many seminars on various real estate law subjects including the ever changing laws and federal and state law requirements, challenges facing first time homebuyers, as well as how divorce affects a real estate closing. Attorney Klein has also given seminars on family law and how to proactively prepare for an impending divorce.
Attorney Klein earned her J.D. in 1996 from the University of Connecticut School of Law and her B.A. from the University of Connecticut in 1992. She is licensed to practice in the Connecticut State Courts and US District Court, for the District of Connecticut. She is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association and the Hartford Bar Association. She is a past member of the Grants and Scholarship Advisory Board of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Connecticut and Western Massachusetts.
